Handmade Products & Personalization
All products are handmade to order unless otherwise stated. Slight variations in colour, wood grain, engraving, and finishes may occur due to the handmade nature of our products. Colours may also vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Please carefully review all names, spelling, dates, colours, fonts, and personalization details before ordering. Items will be made using the information submitted at checkout.
If you notice an error, please contact us immediately. Changes may be accommodated before production begins but cannot be guaranteed.
Love Leighton is not responsible for personalization errors submitted incorrectly by the customer.
Processing Times & Pre-Orders
Processing times vary by product and season and are advertised on our website. These estimates refer to production time and do not include shipping.
Items are created in batches rather than strictly in the order purchases are received. Ordering early secures your place in our production schedule but does not guarantee earlier completion.
If you need an order for a specific date, please contact us before purchasing. Specific completion dates are not guaranteed unless confirmed in advance.
During busy seasons, ordering may close once production capacity has been reached.
Local Pickup
Local pickup is available in Outer Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador.
You'll receive an email once your order is ready. Please reply with your preferred pickup day, providing at least 24 hours' notice. A specific pickup time is not required.
Please wait for confirmation before collecting your order, as orders are not automatically placed in our pickup bin.
We kindly ask that orders be collected within 7 days of receiving your ready notification whenever possible. If you need a later date, please contact us.
Shipping & Delivery
We ship across Canada.
Small Items: Generally shipped via Canada Post Untracked Lettermail, with estimated delivery times of 5–15 business days. Tracking is not included. Please contact us if your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window. We are not responsible for lost packages.
Larger Items: Orders requiring parcel shipping are sent via courier with tracking included.
Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate, including any applicable PO Box, apartment, or unit number. Additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect address may be the customer's responsibility, where permitted by law.
Shipping estimates are not guaranteed, and carrier delays may occur, particularly during the holiday season.
Final Sales, Returns & Cancellations
As our products are handmade to order and often personalized, all sales are final. We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges.
If there's an issue with your order, please contact us, preferably within 5 days of receiving it, with your order number and photographs. We'll be happy to review the situation and help find an appropriate resolution.
Orders cannot ordinarily be cancelled once placed. Cancellation requests may be considered at our discretion before production begins. If approved, a processing fee of up to 10% of the order total may apply, where permitted by law.
Orders already in production or shipped are not eligible for discretionary cancellation.
These policies do not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws.
Discount Codes & Promotions
Discount codes must be valid and applied at checkout. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively as refunds.
If you forget to apply a valid discount code, please contact us within 5 business days of ordering. Store credit may be issued for the missed savings on eligible purchases.
Promotions cannot be applied to purchases made before the promotion began or combined with other offers unless otherwise stated.
Product Care & Safety
Our handmade products are decorative keepsakes and should always be handled with care.
Acrylic, wood, mirrored finishes, and other decorative materials may scratch, chip, crack, or become damaged if dropped, bent, or handled roughly.
All Love Leighton products are intended for decorative use only. They are not toys and should never be handled by children without adult supervision.
Please follow any product-specific care instructions. Damage resulting from improper handling, storage, or use is not considered a manufacturing defect.
